Now I have to go back and read Jeremy Bentham to figure out just where he diverged from John Locke. Or I could just read Wikipedia.

    Yeah, since the first season I have tried to hone in on their use of Empiricists. But I think they are just alluding to the general milieu of social contractarian/utilitarian theorists. Although Rousseau has an interested twist on social contracts and Hume seems to act more Humean than most caricatures of Hume.

    I can’t beleive they’ve kept it interesting for this long.
