Blogging topic changes
Sadly, I will not be blogging on Habermas in more detail. If all goes well this week, I will be taking Sanskrit at the University of Chicago to help me in my application process for Fall 2008. While the language wouldn’t necessarily boost my packet at Loyola (where I’m presently taking classes) or other philosophy departments, it would for religious studies departments. If I truly want to go deeper into Indian Buddhist philosophy than reading translations and secondary sources, I need to get some language capabilities. So I consider it a worthwhile aim. Unfortunately, I don’t have the finances or time to take two courses in philosophy plus Sanskrit. So Habermas, who is less directly related to my goals, has to go.
That means I’ll have more time to focus on philosophy of religion–look for some discussion of God and Other Spirits by Wiebe, which I’ve just about finished.
And maybe I’ll come up with a snazzy Sanskrit T-shirt to replace my promised Habby tee. Maybe.
