What’s in store this week
The wedding was amazing. Rarely am I at a loss for words, but I am now, so I’ll just resume blogging on my usual topics. I may have some thoughts later (in particular, about Pascal Boyer’s thesis regarding rituals) but for now, I simply offer a sincere “thank you” to all the well-wishers here on my blog.
This week, I’ll continue with my course-blogging and talk about Thomas King’s The Truth about Stories. I’m reading Thich Nhat Hanh’s Essential Writings and I have a few shorter essays by Foucault and others that I can talk about. And, of course, any religion/philosophy related political topics may pop up here as well.
It’s been a while since my last vlog, too, so I hope to eke out some time to start a conversation about another topic: gender.
We’re three weeks away from departure to Chicago, but never fear–my new apartment has Wi-Fi already installed and included in the rent (can you beat that?!) so there shouldn’t be too much of a disruption in the Arbitrary Markings here.
