UU Blog Carnival Announced!
Since at least two (what I consider to be) big shots in the UU blogging world have expressed interested, I’m announcing the debut of the UU Carnival. For all of you who hate the acronym, my apologies, but Unitarian Universalist Blog Carnival is just a mouthful.
I’ve put up a portal site here with a topic for July, post General Assembly. There is a submission form and a brief description of the purpose. I am highly amenable to the wisdom of others in adapting the design, content and frequency of the carnival and its home page. At this point, I am taking ChaliceChick’s suggestion that we do a themed carnival. The host each month will be responsible for choosing a theme and the posts to include.
Here’s the modest description of July’s theme:
Our first carnival theme, then, is an oldie but a goodie for UU’s. What is our purpose? Or, alternately, what is my purpose being within a Unitarian Universalist congregation?
I’ll work on getting a newsletter together to email people about the carnival’s schedule, and also nail down the debut date for the first installation. Advertise the carnival on your website or blog, and let’s make the first carnival a success!
